Canadian no-salt steak seasoning livens up plant-based meat substitute . I mix it in a pan with sautéed chopped onions, a squirt of tomato paste and a package of Beyond Burger “chopped meat.†Heat and break up “meatâ€for about 10-15 minutes, move to a casserole, top with puréed cauliflower, and bake at 400 F for about 20 minutes. Voila: low-carb, low-salt Shepherd’s Pie. If carbs aren’t an issue, you could top with mashed potatoes instead of cauliflower.
