Spiced Red Cabbage

Ingredients:

·        1.  1 large head of red cabbage, slice ¼ inch thick, about 5 cups

·        2.  1 cup chopped apple

·        3.  1 tab whole allspice

·        4.  ½ tsp salt

·        5.  ¼ tsp nutmeg

·        6.  ¼ tsp cinnamon

·        7.  ¼ tsp black or white pepper

·        8.  ¼ cup red wine vinegar

·        9.  1/3 cup brown sugar

·        10.  4 tab butter

·        11.  1 tsp garlic pepper

 

Directions:

Place cabbage in pan, add enough water to cover.  Bring to boil, simmer for 5 minutes.  Drain all but ½ cup of liquid.  Add rest; cook till cabbage and apple are soft.

Cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
