Beef Brisket & Sauerkraut


Ingredients:

·         3lb brisket sear on both sides (in a bowl mix together)

·         2lb sauerkraut with juice (recommendation canned libbys)

·         1½ tsp garlic pepper

·         1 tsp each granulated onion & garlic

·         ½ tsp dill weed

·         ½ tsp celery seed

·         ½ cup of dried sliced onion

·         ½ tsp dried garlic minced

·         1 cup beef broth

·         2 tsp beef base

·         5 whole allspice

·         1 bay leaf

·         1 apple chopped

 

Mix well, place all around brisket in a covered roasting pan or dish.  Cook for 45 minutes per pound at 300 degrees.
